FANFIC: L&S - Era of the Chocolate Ban

WELCOME!!

Welcome to one of my L&S Fanfic projects to star Stitch & his cousins (in the majority of the fic!)... yes you guessed it, it's titled "Era of the Chocolate Ban". This fanfiction is basically a personal adaptation (and homage-tribute) to one of Alex Shearer's literary works, one touching on the struggles for the fight against oppression during the most unimaginable events ever conceived... the Chocolate Prohibition Plot.

How did I come up with the fic? It started when I was reading "Bootleg", a novel by Alex Shearer (United Kingdom juvenile author), in 2004. It was an interesting event - to have a nation suffer oppression from a political struggle 'in the interests of good health for the population'.

For good health reasons physically, but to the distraught of other people who experienced what their lives were like before the Chocolate Prohibition Plot.

For those of you who don't know:

the story was set in London, UK. The Good For You Party took over the British government and is forcing everyone to lead healthier lives. Chocolate addicts (characters: two schoolboys named Huntly & Smudger) watch in horror as their fave food is banned from the country. To fight back, they decide to find a recipe for making chocolate and after finding a hidden store of the right ingredients, they decide to make their own chocolate (hence the title "Bootleg"). However, can they fight back before the GFY thugs catch them?? Note: The novel was also made into the BBC three-part TV-movie of the same name, which had aired on ABC-TV Australia. If you live in Britain you may have known the TV series or the book! (I own the book at home)

After reading the novel (as well as watching the BBC three-part miniseries) I had just realised... should the Chocolate prohibition Plot be initialised in Hawaii (and then gradually throughout the world), then it would aparent that there'll be resistance... how would Stitch and the experiments react? And with a sudden jolt of inspiration, as well as captivation to buiold up my writing skills, that's when I wrote this fanfiction.

This fanfiction, being the largest I have ever wrote at the time (not to mention putting a little of my effort into building it up, little by little), is divided into chapters. Each one would be earmarked with the name of the chapter and description, as well as a suitable link.

There is also an intention that I would add storyboards and art to add in with the fanfiction, but it's a long way off.

Due to procratsination status as well as issues beyond control, the fanfiction is currently undergoing maintenance. However, not all is lost - a remake effort is currently in force, and includes tying up plot holes and redirecting a few paragraphs. (This is also undertaken due to my evolving experience with writing, and a whole lot of practice done at the time.)

The remake of the fanfiction can be found on RabidLeroy at DeviantArt. Until then, only the first chapter of this site's fanfiction (now the introductory prologue) is accessible. All other pages have been removed, so once again, I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Chapter One: The Fine Print, first...

This starts up the story about the chocolate ban in Kauai. This chapter tells us about Lilo & her family, and mostly Stitch and his cousins. I know it's brief, but it's very important, especially if you're new to the story.

Now Accessible; click to read introduction

Please note that I do not own the whole concept whatsoever; this fanfiction is intended to pay homage to one of the well known literary works, especially from the voice of a Stitchfan... no dissent or plagiarism is intended.
